OFFICIAL RULES – SIDEQUEST SERIES VSSOCCER TOURNAMENT

VIRTUAL SPORT INDUSTRY, FZCO, with registered address at Unit 12-CO-174, Lvl 12, Uptown Tower, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, license number DMCC – 982829 (hereinafter, the “Organizer” or “BEFOOTBALL”) announces the “SideQuest Series” tournament (hereinafter, the “Tournament”) associated with the virtual reality video game VSSoccer – Virtual Sports Soccer (hereinafter, the “Video Game” or “VSS”).

These official rules of the Tournament are available to users at vss-sidequeat-series-legal (hereinafter, the “Rules” or “Official Rules”). Participation in the Tournament implies full acceptance of these Rules, as well as acceptance of the Video Game's Terms and Conditions and the applicable Privacy Policy.

The Tournament shall be governed by the following OFFICIAL RULES

FIRST.– GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS

The Tournament's promotional page will be hosted on the SideQuest platform, and access to the Video Game will take place through the Meta infrastructure and page used by the Organizer.

The Tournament is a skill-based competition structured into a qualifying phase against artificial intelligence and a final phase between players. Rankings and the determination of winners will depend on performance achieved in accordance with the objective rules described in these Rules.

Participation is free of charge and does not require payment of any entry fee. The Participant must legitimately possess the hardware, accounts, software and services necessary to access the Video Game, without prejudice to the ordinary commercial conditions applicable to such elements.

Registration or participation confers the status of “Participant” and entails unreserved acceptance of these Rules, the applicable Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and the operational rules communicated by the Organizer for the proper conduct of the competition.

These Rules shall remain in force from their publication until the conclusion of the Tournament, the resolution of any claims, and the awarding or forfeiture of the prizes, or until such time as the Organizer determines. The Organizer reserves the right to update, modify or replace these rules, in whole or in part, at any time, as well as to establish new rules to replace them, whenever it deems necessary for the proper conduct of the Tournament, without this giving rise to any right of claim on the part of participants.

SECOND.– DURATION OF THE CONTEST AND SCHEDULE

The qualifying phase will begin on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. ET (16:00 CEST) and will end on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. ET (16:00 CEST), hereinafter the “Qualifying Period.”

The final phase will take place on Sunday, July 19, 2026, starting at 1:00 p.m. ET (19:00 CEST), and will continue until all scheduled matches are completed, including any incidents and tie-breakers that may arise.

The primary reference time zone will be Eastern Time (ET). CEST equivalents are provided for informational purposes only. In the event of any discrepancy, the ET time published on official channels shall prevail.

Should it become necessary, for technical, operational, force majeure or competitive-integrity reasons, or due to circumstances beyond the Organizer's reasonable control, to modify, postpone, suspend or repeat the Tournament in whole or in part, Participants will be informed through official channels with as much reasonable advance notice as possible.

THIRD.– PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

Only natural persons (legal entities are excluded) who, at the time of the “Tournament Period,” meet the following requirements may participate in the tournament:

  • Be at least thirteen (13) years old and meet any higher minimum age required in their country of residence or by Meta, Discord, the device, or any other platform necessary to participate.
  • If the Participant is under eighteen (18) years of age, or has not reached the age of majority applicable in their jurisdiction, obtain the prior, valid and verifiable consent of their parent or legal guardian.
  • Have a Meta Quest device compatible with the Video Game, an active Meta account, the Video Game installed, and an adequate Internet connection.
  • Complete the registration required in the app linked to VSSoccer and maintain a valid account throughout the Tournament.
  • Join the Tournament's official Discord server (https://discord.gg/r6NchRKXNb) and remain available on that channel for operational communications.
  • Have accepted the provisions set forth in these Official Rules, the Terms and Conditions associated with the VSS Privacy Policy, as well as any document required to participate in the SideQuest Series.
  • Provide truthful, complete, accurate and up-to-date information, and use a single identity and participation account.
  • Reside in a territory where participation and, where applicable, receipt of the prize are lawful and do not require an additional license or authorization from the Organizer.
  • Not be excluded, suspended or disqualified for breach of rules, fraud, abusive conduct, or infringement of applicable regulations.

Excluded from eligibility for prizes are employees, officers, partners, contractors, direct collaborators, suppliers and other persons professionally linked to the Organizer, to the development or operation of VSS, or to the management of the Tournament, as well as their first-degree relatives, unless expressly authorized to participate solely for testing purposes and without eligibility for prizes.

Prospective participants in this Tournament are informed that, in order to comply with the minimum participation age requirement (eighteen (18) years of age completed at the time of participating in the Tournament), or, alternatively, to hold due authorization or express and verifiable consent from their parents or legal guardians, the Tournament Organizer may require participants to present their official identity document, Passport and/or any other supporting document or, where applicable, such express authorization or consent, in order to verify compliance with the minimum participation age requirement.

Under no circumstances may persons under thirteen (13) years of age participate, even with the authorization or consent of their parents or legal guardians.

In the event that Participants who win the Tournament had not reached eighteen (18) years of age at the time of participating, or did not have express authorization or consent from their parents or legal guardians, they shall not be eligible to receive the prize, and the Organizer reserves the right to repeat the Tournament, reassign the prize, or declare it forfeited.

In order to verify the truthfulness and authenticity of compliance with the participation requirements, the Organizer may, at any time, request the Participant or prospective participant to provide the following information and/or documentation, on a non-exhaustive basis:

  • Full name.
  • Email address.
  • Contact phone number, if necessary.
  • Copy of identity document or equivalent document.

To that end, if the participant, at the time of the Tournament Period, is at least thirteen (13) years old and under eighteen (18) years of age, the following information and/or documentation will be requested from their parents or legal guardians, on a non-limiting basis:

  • Full name of the parent or legal guardian.
  • Email address.
  • Contact phone number, if necessary.
  • Photocopy of identity document or equivalent document, when necessary to verify the authorization.
  • Relationship to the minor participant.
  • Statement of express consent or authorization from the parents or guardians.

The organizers reserve the right to limit the number of participants in the Tournament.

FOURTH.– NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE TOURNAMENT

SideQuest Series is a promotional skill-based competition linked to VSSoccer. The first phase will be played against the Video Game's artificial intelligence, and the final phase will be played directly between Participant players.

The Tournament is promoted and hosted on the SideQuest VR page, although it is not exclusive with respect to the origin of Participants. Users from SideQuest VR, the pre-existing VSS community, and social media or other authorized channels may participate, provided they meet the same requirements and rules.

SideQuest Ltd., Meta Platforms, Inc., Discord Inc. and any other third-party technology providers or platforms shall not assume the status of Organizer, nor shall they be responsible for the payment of prizes, unless expressly stated otherwise in an updated version of these Rules.

FIFTH.– REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION

To participate in the Tournament and be eligible for the prize pool, it is mandatory to complete all of the following steps, as they constitute a conditio sine qua non for access to the competition:

  • Have an active Meta account, a compatible Meta Quest device, and VSS installed through the official channel enabled by the Organizer.
  • Download and register in the app linked to VSS and complete the information required to access rankings, matchmaking, and competitive features.
  • Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=vssoccer.app.user&hl=es
  • iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/vss-virtual-sports-soccer-app/id6752850506
  • Join our Discord to stay up to date on everything: https://discord.gg/r6NchRKXNb

Incomplete or duplicate registrations, registrations made with false data, or those that do not reasonably allow the Participant to be identified and linked to their game account, may be rejected or voided.

SIXTH.– TOURNAMENT DYNAMICS

6.1 Qualifying Period: 1 vs. AI matches

During the qualifying period, Participants will compete in the specific mode enabled for SideQuest Series through 1vAI matches.

The number of matches or attempts in the Tournament's competitive mode is unlimited. The Participant may use VSS's other game modes, but only valid matches played in the Tournament's specific mode will count toward the ranking.

Rankings will be determined in the following order:

  • First criterion: highest total number of valid wins obtained during the qualifying period.
  • Second criterion: highest total number of goals scored in valid matches of the competitive mode.
  • If a tie persists that affects qualification for the Top 8, the Participants involved will play a tie-breaker match in this same 1vAI format.

Rankings will close on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. ET. Results recorded thereafter will not be counted, except for a technical correction expressly validated by the Organizer.

6.2 Rankings, audit and Top 8

The eight (8) top-ranked Participants will advance to the final phase. The Organizer may review logs, telemetry, results, account activity and other available evidence before confirming the Top 8.

Qualified players will be contacted and announced between Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18, 2026, via the registered email, the app and/or the Discord channel. The ranking will not be considered final until verifications are completed and availability is confirmed.

Participants will have a period of twenty-four (24) hours from the publication of the provisional ranking to submit any objection regarding it, which must be addressed exclusively through the Tournament's official Discord server or to contact@be.football, clearly stating the grounds and, where applicable, the evidence supporting the objection.

In any case, objections must be submitted no later than 6:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in order to allow their resolution before check-in for the final phase. The Organizer will review objections received within the deadline and communicate its resolution, confirming or correcting the provisional ranking, prior to the start of the check-in provided for in clause 6.3.

Objections submitted after the deadline, through unauthorized channels, or without reasonable grounds may be dismissed without further process. The Organizer's decision on any objection will be final and binding for purposes of confirming the Top 8.

6.3 Check-in and 1v1 final phase

The eight (8) qualifiers must be available on the official Discord server at least one (1) hour before the start of the final phase, i.e., Sunday, July 19, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. ET (18:00 CEST), and follow the instructions of Tournament staff.

The final phase will be played in a single-elimination bracket of eight players, with four quarterfinals, two semifinals, a third-place match, and a final. Each match will be played as a single game.

In the event of a tie in a match, a tie-breaker will be played in a best-of-three format (“Bo3”), according to the configuration and procedure communicated by the Organizer to the players.

The scheduled times, subject to the actual duration of the rounds and any possible incidents, will be as follows:

Matches will be created individually from the backend by the Organizer, and players will receive access and pairing instructions via Discord.

In the event of absence, withdrawal, failure to check in, or inability to locate a qualifier, the Organizer will apply the substitution or walkover procedure communicated together with the final confirmation of the Top 8, seeking to preserve the integrity of the bracket.

SEVENTH.– VALUE AND NATURE OF THE PRIZE

The Organizer establishes a prize pool of one thousand US dollars (USD 1,000) allocated to the top three positions of the combined ranking. The distribution is as follows:

  • The first-place finisher will receive FIVE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 500.00).
  • The second-place finisher will receive THREE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 300.00).
  • The third-place finisher will receive TWO HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 200.00).

This ranking will be determined in accordance with the Tournament dynamics set out in clause Sixth of these official rules.

Activation of the prize pool is conditional upon the existence of at least eight (8) valid and eligible Participants sufficient to form the final bracket. A valid Participant is one who has completed the required registrations, accepted the applicable documentation, and played at least one valid match in the Tournament's competitive mode.

If the indicated minimum is not reached, the Organizer may declare the prize pool forfeited and cancel or adapt the final phase, without any obligation to pay the anticipated prizes. This condition responds to the need to guarantee a minimum competition and a complete final bracket, avoiding the awarding of prizes in a scenario of insufficient participation.

EIGHTH.– METHOD OF PAYMENT

The Organizer will pay the corresponding amount via international transfer or digital payment platform (PayPal) within a maximum period of thirty (30) calendar days from the complete verification of the winner. Amounts are expressed and paid gross, in US dollars. Receiving, currency conversion, or platform fees shall be borne by the recipient.

The participant agrees, where applicable, to provide the information necessary for the correct execution of payment via the selected method, and is responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of such information. This information may include, on a non-exhaustive basis:

  • Full name.
  • Official identity document, passport, or equivalent document.
  • Proof of tax residency.
  • Bank details or payment platform information (PayPal or equivalent) necessary for the transfer of the prize.
  • Identification details and authorization from the parent or legal guardian when the winner is under 18 years of age.
  • Any additional information required by legal, tax, accounting, anti-fraud, anti-money laundering, or compliance obligations.

The Organizer is not responsible for any incident that may occur at the time of payment of the prize for any reason beyond its control, such as an incident in the PayPal application or in the payment processing system of the relevant bank.

The Organizer may suspend or delay payment where there are reasonable doubts regarding identity, eligibility, residency, payment details, parental consent, tax compliance, fraud prevention, anti-money laundering, or any other legal or compliance obligation.

NINTH.– NOTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION OF WINNERS

The winners will be the Participants who obtain first, second and third place in the final phase, subject to verification of identity, age, residency, eligibility and competitive integrity.

Winners will be contacted via the email address with which they registered for the Tournament and/or Discord, within two (2) business days of the Tournament's end date.

The Organizer will have a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the Tournament's end date and the complete verification of the winner(s) and their eligibility, to proceed with payment under the conditions set out in clause Eighth of this document.

Failure by the winning participant to cooperate with the verification process within fourteen (14) calendar days following notification will result in forfeiture of the right to the prize, which may be reassigned to the next-ranked Participant or declared forfeited, as the Organizer deems appropriate.

TENTH.– TAXATION AND TERRITORIAL RESTRICTIONS

Prizes will be subject to any withholdings, deductions, declarations or notifications legally required. Each winner will be responsible for understanding and complying with the tax obligations applicable to them in their jurisdiction of residence.

The Tournament will be open internationally, except in jurisdictions where participation or receipt of prizes is prohibited, subject to authorization not obtained, affected by applicable sanctions, or incompatible with the Organizer's legal, tax, banking or compliance obligations.

Acceptance of a registration does not constitute final confirmation of territorial eligibility. The Organizer may complete verification before the final phase or before payment of the prize.

Participants residing in jurisdictions where participation in online competitions with cash prizes requires a specific license from the organizer, or is expressly prohibited, are excluded from eligibility for the prize pool. The Organizer assumes no responsibility for a participant's failure to comply with local legislation. It is the participant's responsibility to verify the legality of their participation in their jurisdiction before registering.

ELEVENTH.– FEEDBACK, INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND TOURNAMENT CONTENT

Participation does not confer upon the Participant any intellectual or industrial property rights over the Video Game, its software, code, design, mechanics, trademarks, trade names, logos, characters, settings, sounds, interfaces, assets, documentation, or associated materials.

All rights belong to the Organizer, its licensors, or the corresponding rights holders. Unauthorized copying, modification, reverse engineering, asset extraction, distribution, commercialization, or exploitation of the video game or its contents is prohibited.

The Organizer may use screenshots, gameplay clips, replays, results, nicknames, avatars and other elements of the competition to reasonably administer, cover, report on and promote the Tournament and future similar events, in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable regulations.

By participating in the SideQuest Series Tournament, the participant agrees that any feedback, suggestion or bug report communicated to BEFOOTBALL may be incorporated into the development of VSSoccer without any obligation of compensation or credit, thereby assigning to BEFOOTBALL the rights to use such feedback on a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable basis and without time restrictions.

TWELFTH.– PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

The processing of the participant's personal data is governed by the VSS Privacy Policy, available at privacy-policy-superplayervr-2026, which forms an integral part of these Official Rules.

The data may be used to manage registrations in the app, access to rankings and matchmaking, coordination via Discord, eligibility verification, competition administration, fraud prevention, publication of results, handling of claims, contact with winners, delivery of prizes, and compliance with legal obligations.

When SideQuest VR processes personal data on its own behalf or receives information from Participants, such processing will be governed by its own privacy documentation and by the applicable agreements between the parties.

THIRTEENTH.– ADVERTISING, RANKINGS AND IMAGE RIGHTS

By accepting these Rules, participants and winners authorize the Organizer to publicize their full name or nickname in any physical, electronic or telematic medium, format or channel, and through any system, procedure or method of communication, including dissemination via social media on which the Organizer has a page or profile it owns, or through third parties associated with it.

Participants and winners agree that, where applicable and always subject to the Organizer's request and the participant's express consent, their image, name and voice may be used for the purpose of reporting on the Tournament's results, as well as promoting the advertised product and future events of a similar nature, in the media the Organizer deems necessary (including, by way of example, press, radio, television, web, or social media).

Such assignment will be made for a period of one (1) year and with worldwide territorial scope.

FOURTEENTH.– LIABILITY

In this Tournament, the Organizer is released from any liability that may arise from circumstances attributable to third parties that could affect the conduct of the Tournament or enjoyment of the prize, as well as from failures or incidents in telecommunications systems that may arise during the Tournament.

In the event that the Tournament cannot be held, whether due to detected fraud, technical errors, or any other cause beyond the Organizer's control that affects the normal conduct of the Tournament, the Organizer reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend it.

Intentional disconnections, network manipulation, or abandonment aimed at gaining an advantage may be considered fraud and result in a loss, annulment, or disqualification.

Use of virtual reality devices may cause dizziness, eye strain, disorientation, nausea, loss of balance, fatigue, or risk of impact-related injury. The Participant must use the device in a safe, clear space, follow the manufacturer's instructions, take reasonable breaks, and stop use if experiencing discomfort.

Under no circumstances will the Organizer assume liability for, or bear the cost of, any claim participants may attempt to bring.

In any case, the Organizer is not responsible for any incident that may occur during the Tournament due to causes beyond its control, such as technical failures in the network or in the hardware used to participate in the Tournament, or any fraud that participants may commit. In such cases, the Organizer reserves the right to reorganize, suspend, or cancel the Tournament as it deems appropriate, without any participant being entitled to claim any amount or take any action against the Organizer.

Similarly, in the event that any damage or harm is caused to any Participant while participating in the Tournament, the Organizer shall be released from any liability in this regard arising from any misuse of the Video Game or non-compliance with the Tournament Rules set out herein or with any of the legal documents associated with the Tournament and the VSSoccer game.

FIFTEENTH.– WAYS TO CONTACT THE ORGANIZER

Any inquiry or formal complaint regarding the Tournament may be directed to contact@be.football. Operational communications for the final phase will take place through the official Discord server https://discord.gg/r6NchRKXNb.

SIXTEENTH.– ANTI-FRAUD AND DISQUALIFICATION OF A TOURNAMENT PARTICIPANT

BEFOOTBALL reserves the right to disqualify participants who breach the Tournament rules and to penalize those who make fraudulent use of it, in accordance with the provisions set out in the documentation governing participation in the VSS SideQuest Series tournament.

The use of cheats, bots, scripts, macros, automation, unauthorized software, client modification, deliberate exploitation of bugs, multiple accounts, smurfing, impersonation, account sharing, boosting, collusion, match-fixing, result manipulation, falsification of evidence, or any other unfair advantage is prohibited.

The Organizer may review matches, telemetry, logs, gameplay patterns, accounts and other available evidence. Sanctions may include a warning, annulment of matches, correction of results, loss of wins or goals, exclusion from the Top 8, disqualification, loss or reassignment of prizes, removal from Discord, and exclusion from future competitions.

The Organizer is not obligated to disclose internal detection tools or information whose disclosure could compromise security or facilitate fraud.

SEVENTEENTH.– ACCEPTANCE AND MODIFICATION OF THE RULES

Mere participation in this Tournament entails full acceptance of all clauses contained in this official rules document, which will be published on the website https://www.be.football/en, as well as express submission to the Organizer's interpretive decisions regarding them.

The Organizer may modify the Rules whenever necessary to correct errors, clarify rules, address incidents, preserve competitive integrity, comply with legal obligations, or adapt to technical or operational requirements. Material changes will be communicated with as much reasonable advance notice as possible and will not be applied arbitrarily to deprive a Participant of already vested rights.

If any provision is declared invalid or unenforceable, it will be interpreted or limited to the extent necessary, without affecting the validity of the remainder.

EIGHTEENTH.– GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Official Rules shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without prejudice to any mandatory rights that may apply to Participants acting as consumers under the applicable regulations of their country of residence.

The parties will seek to resolve amicably any dispute related to registration, access to the game, participation in the Tournament, rankings, validation of results, or these Rules. To this end, the participant may first contact the following email address: contact@be.football.

Unless applicable mandatory regulations provide otherwise, any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Specific matters relating to prizes, taxation, eligibility, international payments, disqualifications, claims regarding results, or delivery of prizes may additionally be governed by the provisions of the SideQuest Series Terms and Conditions.
