VIRTUAL SPORT INDUSTRY, FZCO (hereinafter, the “Organizer”, “BEFOOTBALL”) is a company validly incorporated under the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
2. Purpose and scope
This Legal Notice governs access to the information, websites, forms, applications, rankings, communication channels and services associated with the SideQuest Series tournament (the “Tournament”), organized on the virtual reality video game VSSoccer – Virtual Sports Soccer (hereinafter, the “Video Game” or “VSS”). Access to the site implies full acceptance of this Legal Notice.
The Tournament's promotional page will be hosted on the SideQuest VR platform. Access to the video game will take place through the Meta infrastructure and page used by the Organizer. The Tournament may receive Participants coming from SideQuest VR, from the game's pre-existing community, from social media or from other authorized channels.
Access to the Tournament information does not guarantee registration, participation, qualification for the Top 8, appearance in rankings or obtaining prizes. The Participant must meet all the requirements set out in the applicable documents.
3. Applicable documents
Registration, access to the game, the ranking, the rankings, prize management and the processing of personal data are governed by the specific legal documents linked in the form, including:
- The Terms and Conditions of the SideQuest Series tournament.
- The Official Rules of the Tournament.
- The VSSoccer Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the specific privacy notices of the linked app and/or the Tournament.
- The terms of Meta, Discord, SideQuest VR and other third-party services used.
- Where applicable, the parent or legal guardian Authorization for participants under 18 years of age.
The Participant must read and accept these documents before completing registration or accessing the Tournament. Acceptance may take place via checkbox, registration form, access to the distribution channel, use of the game or any other mechanism enabled by the Organizer.
If the Participant does not accept or complete these mechanisms, they will not be able to access or participate in the Tournament.
In the event of a contradiction between the Terms and Conditions and the Official Rules of the Tournament, the Official Rules will prevail in all matters relating to competitive mechanics, rankings, tie-breakers, final phase, prizes, payments, claims and disqualifications. The Terms and Conditions will prevail with respect to general access to and use of the video game and its services.
4. Nature of the Tournament and third-party platforms
SideQuest Series is a promotional skill-based competition. The qualifying phase will be played in a specific 1vAI mode and the final phase will pit the eight top-ranked players against each other in a 1v1 bracket.
The Participant acknowledges that participation depends on third-party services and platforms, including Meta, SideQuest VR, Discord and the linked mobile application. Such services have their own terms, age requirements, parental settings, privacy policies and operating rules.
The Organizer does not guarantee the permanent or uninterrupted availability of third-party services and may adapt the schedule or operations when an incident affects the conduct or integrity of the Tournament.
Participation in matches, rankings and other competitions associated with the Tournament may be subject to specific rules, result validation and anti-fraud measures. The use of cheats, exploits, bots, automation, manipulation, abusive multiple accounts, result alteration or any conduct contrary to the rules may result in the suspension of access, deletion of results, exclusion from rankings, disqualification and loss of prizes.
5. Accuracy of the information provided
The information provided through the application, forms, accounts, Discord or verification processes must be truthful, complete, accurate and up to date.
The Organizer may reject, suspend or cancel registrations when there is false, incomplete, unverifiable, outdated data or data contrary to the participation requirements.
The communication of false data, of third-party data without authorization, or of information that prevents verification of the Participant's identity, age, residency, eligibility or parental consent may result in exclusion from the Tournament, from rankings or from the delivery of prizes.
6. Age and parental consent
The Tournament is not directed at children under thirteen (13) years of age. In addition, each Participant must meet any higher minimum age required by their country of residence, SideQuest VR, Meta, Discord, the linked application or the device used.
Participants who have not reached the applicable age of majority may only register and participate if they have the prior, valid and verifiable consent of their parent or legal guardian.
The Organizer may request reasonable proof of the Participant's age and/or of parental consent. Insufficient proof may result in the cancellation of the registration, the restriction of access, exclusion from the Tournament, disqualification or the loss of prizes.
7. Intellectual and industrial property
The Organizer, its licensors or the corresponding rights holders own the intellectual and industrial property rights over VSSoccer, the Tournament, its sites, applications and content, including software, code, design, texts, images, audio, video, trademarks, logos, characters, settings, interfaces and promotional materials. All rights reserved.
The reproduction, distribution, modification, reverse engineering, asset extraction or commercial exploitation and public communication, including the making available of all or part of the Video Game or the contents of this website for commercial purposes, is expressly prohibited without the express authorization of the Organizer.
Participation in the Tournament does not confer on the Participant any right over the Video Game, the trademarks or the Organizer's materials, beyond the license to use that is applicable to the product.

2. Purpose
These Terms and Conditions govern the registration, access, participation and use of VSSoccer and of the features associated with the SideQuest Series Tournament, including the linked app, rankings, matchmaking, coordination via Discord and management of the Tournament.
The purpose of the Tournament is to allow Participants to compete in a 1vAI qualifying phase and, if they finish among the top eight, to participate in a 1v1 single-elimination final phase.
The specific rules on format, ranking, tie-breakers, Tournament dynamics, prizes and winners are contained in the Official Rules of the Tournament, which will prevail in those matters.
3. Participation requirements
To participate, the Participant must:
- Be at least thirteen (13) years old and meet any higher minimum age required by their country or by SideQuest VR, Meta, Discord, the linked app, the device or the platform used.
- If they have not reached the applicable age of majority, have the prior, valid and verifiable consent of their parent or legal guardian.
- Have a compatible Meta Quest device, an active Meta account, VSSoccer installed and an adequate Internet connection.
- Register in the application linked to VSSoccer and keep active the data necessary for rankings, matchmaking and competitive participation.
- Access the official Discord server via https://discord.gg/r6NchRKXNb and use it for operational communications when required.
- Accept these T&C, the Official Rules and the Privacy Policy.
- Provide truthful information and use a single participation account and identity.
- Not be an employee, contractor, direct collaborator, officer, partner, shareholder, first-degree relative or person professionally linked to the Organizer, its group entities, development studios, providers or operational partners related to the Tournament or the Video Game.
- Have tax residency in a territory where the receipt of cash prizes derived from online video game competitions does not require a license or additional authorization from the Organizer.
- Not be excluded, suspended or sanctioned for rule violations, fraud, abusive conduct or breach of applicable documents.
The Organizer may reject, suspend or cancel registrations when there are indications of false data, failure to meet requirements, misuse, fraud or any other circumstance that may affect the security, integrity or correct operation of the Video Game or the Tournament.
4. Minors and parental consent
Participants between 13 and 17 years of age, or below the age of majority applicable in their country of residence, may only register, use the app, participate in the Tournament and be eligible for prizes if they have the prior consent of their parent or legal guardian.
By registering, the Participant declares that they have sufficient capacity to accept these T&C or that they have the authorization of their legal representative.
The Organizer may request at any time reasonable proof of the Participant's age and/or of the consent of their parent or legal guardian.
Insufficient proof may result in the cancellation of the registration, restriction of access, exclusion from rankings, disqualification, deletion of results or loss of prizes, where applicable.
If a minor is a potential winner, the Organizer may require the intervention, express authorization and identification details of their parent or legal guardian to verify eligibility and process the prize payment.
5. Nature of the Video Game and the Tournament
VSSoccer is a virtual reality video game distributed for compatible Meta Quest devices, and the SideQuest Series Tournament is a promotional skill-based competition organized on certain features of the game.
The Tournament page will be hosted on SideQuest VR, but access to the Video Game will take place through the Meta infrastructure and page used by the Organizer. Participation will not be limited to Participants originating from SideQuest VR; pre-existing Participants, participants from social media or other authorized channels may also join.
Participation does not guarantee a position in the ranking, qualification for the Top 8, obtaining prizes, continuous availability of the services or the absence of technical errors.
The Tournament is not a form of betting and is not predominantly based on chance. The ranking and results depend on the skill and performance of the Participants in accordance with the published rules.
The Tournament is free of charge and does not entail any payment obligation on the part of the Participant. There is no active monetization during the Tournament's duration.
6. Access to VSSoccer, the linked app and Tournament channels
Access to the Tournament may be limited by number of Participants, territory, platform, device, technical availability, time period, distribution channel or any other operational criterion defined by the Organizer.
Access to the Video Game will be subject to the availability of Meta, the compatible device and the version published by the Organizer. Access to rankings, matchmaking and competitive features will require registration and linking in the associated app VSS: Virtual Sports Soccer App.
The Organizer may modify, expand, restrict, suspend or terminate features for technical, operational, legal, commercial, security, anti-fraud or product-improvement reasons.
The Participant may not sell, transfer, assign, sublicense, share or commercialize their accounts, access or credentials, nor allow another person to compete under their name.
Discord will be the main coordination channel for the final phase. The Participant must comply with its own terms of use and community rules.
7. Competitive dynamics
7.1 Qualifying phase
The qualifying phase will run between July 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. ET and July 17, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. ET. Participants will compete in a specific 1vAI mode.
There will be no daily or total limit on matches in the Tournament's competitive mode. Only valid matches recorded in that mode during the official period will count.
The ranking will be ordered by number of wins. In the event of a tie, by number of goals scored and, if the tie persists and affects the Top 8 or the seed, by a tie-breaker match in this same 1vAI mode.
7.2 Final phase
The eight (8) top-ranked players will play, on July 19, 2026, a 1v1 single-elimination bracket with quarterfinals, semifinals, a third-place match and a final.
Qualifiers must check in and be available on Discord at least one hour before the start, at 12:00 p.m. ET. Matches will be created individually from the backend and communicated via Discord.
Each round will be played as a single match. In the event of a tie, a best-of-three (Bo3) tie-breaker will be played in accordance with the procedure communicated before the start of the bracket.
The times for each round are estimated and may shift due to the duration of matches or incidents. The Tournament will continue until the bracket is completed.
8. Prizes
The Organizer establishes a prize pool of one thousand US dollars (USD 1,000) distributed as five hundred US dollars (USD 500) for first place, three hundred US dollars (USD 300) for second and two hundred US dollars (USD 200) for third.
8.1 Calculation of the ranking
The ranking will be determined in accordance with the provisions of clause 7.
8.2 Eligibility
To be eligible for the prize pool, the participant must: (i) have completed the necessary registrations and accepted these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the Official Rules of the Tournament (ii) meet the applicable age and parental consent requirements (iii) have participated in accordance with the Tournament rules (iv) not have been disqualified, suspended or excluded for fraud, cheating, manipulation, abusive conduct or breach of applicable documents (v) provide the documentation reasonably necessary to verify their identity, residency, eligibility and payment details (vi) have tax residency in a territory where the receipt of cash prizes derived from online video game competitions does not require a license or additional authorization from the Organizer.
Participation in the Tournament by employees, contractors, collaborators, partners, providers, persons linked to the Organizer, its group entities, development studios, providers or operational partners related to the Tournament may be permitted solely for the purposes of testing, support, development, validation, internal control or service improvement.
However, such persons may not be eligible for prizes or financial rewards.
8.3 Minimum participation for activation of the prize pool
Activation of the prize pool will be conditional on the existence of at least eight (8) valid and eligible Participants sufficient to form the final bracket. If the minimum is not reached, the Organizer may declare the prize pool forfeited and cancel or adapt the final phase.
8.4 Identity verification
Prior to the payment of any prize pool amount, the Organizer will verify the winner's identity by means of a valid official identity document (national ID, passport and/or equivalent). The participant must provide a legible copy of the document, proof of tax residency and the necessary bank or payment platform details. Failure to cooperate with the verification within fourteen (14) calendar days following notification will result in the loss of the right to the prize, which may be declared forfeited or reassigned to the next-ranked participant, at the Organizer's discretion.
8.5 Prize payment
The Organizer will pay the corresponding amount by international transfer or digital payment platform (PayPal or equivalent) within a maximum period of thirty (30) calendar days from the complete verification of the winner. Amounts are expressed gross, in US dollars. Receiving or conversion fees will be borne by the winner, unless a legal obligation provides otherwise.
The Organizer may suspend or delay payment where there are reasonable doubts about identity, eligibility, residency, payment details, parental consent, tax compliance, fraud prevention, anti-money-laundering or any other legal or compliance obligation.
8.6 Taxation
The taxation associated with any prize will be the responsibility of the winner in accordance with the tax legislation applicable to them based on their country or jurisdiction of residence. The Organizer does not act as a withholding agent at source and will provide the winner with the documentary proof necessary for them to comply with their tax obligations.
The Organizer will not be responsible for the winner's failure to comply with their tax obligations, declarations, payments, withholdings, fees or communications to the competent authorities.
The winner will be responsible for obtaining independent tax advice if they deem it necessary.
8.7 Territorial restrictions
The prize pool will not be available to participants residing in jurisdictions where participation in online competitions with cash prizes requires a specific license from the Organizer or is expressly prohibited. The Organizer assumes no responsibility for the participant's failure to comply with local legislation. It is the participant's responsibility to verify the legality of their participation in their jurisdiction before registering.
9. Anti-fraud and disqualification
The Organizer reserves the right to review all matches recorded during the Tournament and to void those that show signs of the use of unauthorized software, client manipulation, multiple accounts (smurfing), bug exploitation (exploiting) or any other form of competitive fraud.
The detection of fraudulent behavior will result in: (i) the immediate disqualification of the participant, (ii) the loss of the right to any prize pool prize and (iii) the possible notification to Meta Platforms, Inc. and to the competent authorities when the fraud could constitute a criminal offense or a breach of Meta's terms of use.
Sanctions may include voiding of matches, loss of wins or goals, correction of the ranking, exclusion from the Top 8, defeat, disqualification, loss or reassignment of the prize, suspension of accounts and exclusion from future competitions.
10. Terms of use for the spaces of use and communication related to VSSoccer and SideQuest Series
The Participant undertakes to use the Video Game, the app, Discord, rankings and other spaces in accordance with current legislation, good faith, public order and this document. The following is expressly prohibited:
- Using the services for unlawful, fraudulent purposes or purposes contrary to public order.
- Harassing, threatening, discriminating against, humiliating or disseminating hateful, unlawful content or content that infringes the rights of third parties.
- Disclosing personal data of third parties, impersonating identities or attempting to access others' accounts.
- Causing damage, interfering with, overloading or accessing without authorization the systems of the Organizer, SideQuest VR, Meta, Discord, providers or third parties.
- Engaging in spam, unauthorized advertising, scams, unauthorized betting or any conduct that harms the community or the competition.
The Organizer reserves the right to remove any content that infringes these terms and to deny or revoke access to its spaces without prior notice.
11. Intellectual property
Access and participation do not confer any intellectual or industrial property rights over VSSoccer or the Tournament, its software, code, design, mechanics, trademarks, trade names, logos, characters, settings, sounds, music, interfaces, assets, documentation or content.
All rights belong to the Organizer, its licensors or the corresponding rights holders. The Participant receives only the personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use that is applicable to the product.
It is prohibited to copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse-engineer, extract assets, create unauthorized derivative works or use trademarks and materials to feign non-existent affiliation or sponsorship.
The Organizer may use results, rankings, nicknames, avatars, replays, clips and gameplay to administer, cover and report on the Tournament and reasonably promote similar events, in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable regulations.
12. Limitation of liability and VR safety
The Video Game and associated services may experience errors, interruptions, performance failures, connection, synchronization, matchmaking, ranking or result-recording problems.
To the extent permitted by law, the Organizer does not guarantee:
- Continuous or uninterrupted availability.
- The absolute absence of errors, bugs or technical failures.
- Compatibility with all devices, accounts, systems or platform versions.
- The obtaining of prizes, rewards, ranking positions or commercial benefits, unless all applicable requirements are met.
The Organizer will not be responsible for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages.
- Loss of data, progress, rankings, opportunities, profits or expectations.
- Failures of the Participant's hardware, software, connection, account, device or platform.
- Interruptions, suspensions, restrictions or changes arising from third-party platforms, such as SideQuest VR, Meta Quest or equivalents of Meta Platforms, Inc., Discord or other third parties.
- The conduct of other Participants.
- Improper, negligent, unauthorized use or use contrary to the instructions of the game, the device or the platform.
- Incidents arising from force majeure, technical causes beyond the Organizer's reasonable control or decisions of third-party providers.
The Participant acknowledges that the use of virtual reality devices may involve physical risks or discomfort, including dizziness, eye strain, disorientation, nausea, loss of balance, fatigue, muscle discomfort or the risk of collision with objects in the surroundings. The Participant undertakes to use the device in a safe, clear space, follow the manufacturer's and platform's instructions, take reasonable breaks and stop use if experiencing discomfort.
When the participant is below the age of majority applicable in their country of residence, their parent or legal guardian will be responsible for reasonably supervising the use of the device, the platform account, parental settings and participation in the beta.
The Organizer may validate, void, replay or reschedule matches, correct results or adapt the schedule when a technical incident affects competitive integrity. Intentional or manipulated disconnections may be sanctioned.
13. Data protection
The processing of the participant's personal data is governed by the VSSoccer Privacy Policy, available at compete/vss-privacy-policy-sidequest-series, which forms an integral part of these T&C.
The data may be processed for registration in the app, rankings, matchmaking, coordination via Discord, eligibility, fraud prevention, administration of matches and the bracket, publication of results, claims, contact with and payment to winners, and legal compliance.
The third-party services used may carry out their own processing in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
14. Modification, suspension and termination
The Organizer reserves the right to modify these T&C, update features, suspend services, cancel the prize pool or modify, postpone or cancel the Tournament at any time, or when necessary for technical, operational, legal, security, competitive-integrity, force majeure, platform-decision or insufficient-participation reasons, giving registered Participants as much reasonable advance notice as possible. They will not be applied retroactively to arbitrarily deprive a Participant of an already vested right, unless necessary to comply with the law, correct fraud, remedy a vulnerability or preserve equal treatment.
If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be interpreted or limited to the extent necessary, with the remainder remaining in force.
15. Applicable law and dispute resolution
These Terms and Conditions will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without prejudice to any mandatory rights that may apply to Participants acting as consumers under the applicable regulations of their country of residence.
The parties will seek to amicably resolve any dispute related to registration, access to the game, participation in the Tournament, rankings, result validation or these Terms and Conditions. To this end, the participant may first contact the following email address: contact@be.football.
Unless applicable mandatory regulations provide otherwise, any dispute arising from these Terms and Conditions or from participation in the Tournament will be submitted to the competent courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Specific matters relating to format, ranking, final phase, prizes, taxation, payments, disqualifications or claims will additionally be governed by the Official Rules of the Tournament.
